PROFILE ` Maeve Doherty is a full time registered artist working at her studio in Glenmore, Co. Kilkenny. Her work is meditative and reflective and her skills have been developed over many years. Her paintings have won awards and have been featured on R.T.E and also were featured in Irish Arts Review magazine. She is a member of the Ulster Watercolour Society and has had successful sales at their exhibitions. Her work can be found worldwide in both private and public collections. Maeve likes to paint atmospheric landscapes and romantic figurative work in watercolour and oil. Her work in private collections includes paintings for:
President Mary McAleese (April 2001 Official Opening of Hook Heritage Centre)
Jean Kennedy Smith, former U.S Ambassador to Ireland. (A commission for the J.F.K U.SAircraft carrier 1995)Dr. Michael Woods, Former Minster.
Sile De Valera while Minister for Arts Culture, the Gaeltacht and the Islands.
Illustrations for cards: Printed cards, illustrating her paintings are on sale in many card shops in the southeast.

Maeve has travelled extensively and enjoys the challenge of responding to the beautiful landscapes of Ireland, France, Italy and Australia by producing vibrant paintings in various mediums. This talented artist completes many commissioned works on request and has done so, for noted figures as already mentioned above.
